Radiant sun on top, small repeating vertical inscription in Chinese seal script `壹圓兌換銀券` alternating between repeating inscription `ONE YEN`. Reverse of contemporary 1 Yen coin in the center. Seal of Governor of Bank of Japan, depicting symbol of Bank of Japan dividing inscription in Chinese seal script into four parts, reads right-to-left, inside decorated circle.
